Miami Beach, FL – Meridian Partners, an SAP Services Partner specialized in SAP implementations, upgrades, maintenance and support and strategic staffing, announced today that Jefferson County, Alabama has chosen them to provide technical and functional maintenance and support services for their SAP applications.  The contract is for three years.

Jefferson County is the most densely populated county in the state of Alabama with a population of over 650,000 people in 1,114 square miles and 40 municipalities including Birmingham.  The County has 4,000 employees and a $836 million operating budget.  In 2007, SAP ERP2005 software was installed with over twelve financial management and reporting modules.  This year, the County chose to outsource the technical and functional support functions to achieve greater efficiency and mitigate risks within system support.
